Mashi is a Local Government Area in Katsina State, Nigeria, sharing a border with the Republic of Niger. Its headquarters is in the town of Mashi in the southwest of the area at12°59′00″N 7°57′00″E / 12.98333°N 7.95000°E.
It has an area of 905 km2 and a population of 173,134 at the 2006 census.
